Centinus & R2 Selected for U.S. Navy ONR WaveBreaker Live Exercises
January 24, 2026

Centinus and R2 Wireless have been selected to participate in the U.S. Navy Office of Naval Research (ONR) WaveBreaker program, with live exercises scheduled for 2026. The collaboration integrates passive RF detection and geolocation with autonomous aerial response and operator decision support. The selection marks a key validation point for Centinus’s Physical AI platform in real-world defense scenarios.

“WaveBreaker has given us the opportunity to validate not just a sensor, but an operational workflow,” said Onn Fenig, CEO of R2 Wireless. “The result is a system that can passively detect and geolocate relevant activity, rapidly cue an autonomous aerial response, and put the right information in front of an operator in real time.”

The same architecture being proven in defense translates directly to public safety, critical infrastructure, and major public events, where limited staffing and growing operational complexity are increasing pressure on operators.
